Context

La sécurité routière est un des enjeux majeurs de notre époque. Publicité, message de prévention, mise au point de nouvelles technologies ; tout est conçu et pensé pour qu’il y ait le moins d’accidents possible.

Dans l’esprit collectif, la problématique de la sécurité routière est associée aux jeunes et aux comportements dangereux qu’ils auraient plus tendance à avoir (alcool au volant ou utilisation du téléphone). Cependant, avec une population vieillissante et un allongement de la durée de vie, il nous paraît important de nous pencher sur une autre partie de la population qui elle aussi se met en danger lorsqu’elle conduit : les personnes âgées.

En effet, des déficiences cognitives et motrices apparaissent avec le vieillissement. Une perte partielle de la vue, de l’audition, ou une augmentation du temps de réaction sont autant de facteurs qui peuvent mettre en danger les personnes âgées. Les effets du temps sont inéluctables mais pour autant, les nouvelles technologies et notamment l’Intelligence Artificielle peuvent aider à les contrecarrer. Il nous paraît essentiel aujourd’hui d’aider notre population vieillissante à garder son indépendance en les aidant à vivre une expérience de conduite plus sécurisante grâce à l’Intelligence Artificielle.

Notre projet vise principalement les personnes âgées. En effet, à cause du vieillissement, ils n’ont pas les mêmes aptitudes cognitives et motrices qu’une personne plus jeune. Cependant, nos grands-parents cherchent à conserver leur indépendance. Celle-ci passe par la conduite. Aller faire ses courses, rejoindre ses amis ou sa famille, la voiture reste un moyen de transport essentiel aujourd’hui. C’est pourquoi nous voulons les aider à pouvoir se déplacer, grâce aux nouvelles technologies que nous allons proposer.

Nous voulons renforcer la sécurité des personnes âgées en ajoutant un assistant de conduite dans leur véhicule. L’Intelligence Artificielle sera la base de notre projet. Le principal problème de la conduite est la gestion des imprévus. L’IA est la seule technologie qui a une capacité d’adaptation aussi importante. Concrètement, nous aimerions proposer plusieurs fonctionnalités aux personnes âgées. D’abord, un écran, comme un hologramme apparaîtrait sur le pare-brise (sans pour autant gêner la conduite). Il affichera les panneaux de signalisation qui seront lus en même temps par l’assistant de conduite. L’affichage visuel et la lecture vocale assure la réception de l’information pour le conducteur. Aussi, nous aimerions mettre en place un détecteur de fatigue grâce à un brassard. Celui-ci prendrait la tension du conducteur pendant la conduite. A partir d’un certain seuil, il peut se contracter à la demande de l’IA si le conducteur devient moins attentif, jusqu’à arriver à une demande vocale ( « vous devriez faire une pause ») dans la voiture si la fatigue devient trop importante.

Project 2: En voiture!

Context

when? where? who? why?

We want to offer our grandparents an application for navigating using autonomous vehicles. Our project focuses on older people when they take the car to shop, go to an appointment... need to go somewhere. Due to motor, hearing or seeing problems, many aged people cannot drive or even create accidents. Moreover most of them live alone so we want to help them interact with other during their trip.

We would like to offer an innovative solution for the elderly who find it difficult to drive or walk. Indeed our solution aims at facilitating their everyday lives and giving them social interaction.

Target

for whom?

We target French old people who have motor problems or face difficulty to drive. They represent a true market with special needs and we understand it. Actually, there is no more obstacles for them to do whatever they want thanks to our autonomous cars.

Service offered

what? how?

Our service is pretty simple : autonomous vehicles to reach special points of the city. You take your phone, choose a place you want to go to (go to the market, go to the hospital, your grandchildren, your friends' home ...), wait until some other people make the same choice of destination or places in the same route (near yours) and finally our car come to your home and drive you to your occupation.

We offer an app to order car drived by AI to go to special place in the city and during the journey you can talk with people that want to reach the same place. BUT having an other passager with you is a bonus, it is not necessary. Indeed the idea of completing the car comes from the fact that old people are often victims of loneliness, and we wanted to fight this.

If you struggle to drive and want to make your journey more fun, En Voiture ! is here for you.

Plus, we know that it is difficult for old people to understand how to use phone and applications on cell phones. So, as a package with the monthly subscription to our driving service proposed to our consumers, we offer a box so that it can project the application at the right format on the TV screen, because we know that the majority of grandparents have a television at home. This will greatly facilitate the reading of the map, the control buttons and the sound. Making the experience with En Voiture ! enjoyable and simple.

Indeed, everytime the programmed walk's time arrived (to go to the drugstore, ...), the TV will automatically switch to the En Voiture ! screen with an alert message and a vocal : "Marie arrives in 5 minutes, be ready :) ".
